Service Description

Treatment Overview Our Acne Skin Care Consultation is a comprehensive, medically led appointment designed to assess, treat and manage acne at any stage — from mild breakouts to persistent or adult-onset acne. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, this consultation focuses on identifying the underlying causes of your acne and creating a tailored treatment and skincare plan to restore skin health. This service is suitable whether you are new to medical-grade skincare or have tried multiple treatments with limited success. Who Is This Consultation For? This consultation is suitable for adolescents and adults experiencing: • Persistent or recurrent acne • Hormonal or adult-onset acne • Congestion, blackheads or whiteheads • Inflammatory acne or cystic breakouts • Acne-related redness or sensitivity • Post-acne scarring or pigmentation • Skin reacting poorly to over-the-counter products It is also ideal if you feel overwhelmed by skincare choices or unsure what is worsening your acne. What Does It Involve? During your consultation, we will: • Take a full skin and medical history • Assess acne type, severity and triggers • Review current skincare, lifestyle and hormonal factors • Identify barrier damage or inflammation • Discuss short- and long-term treatment options You will receive a personalised plan that may include medical-grade skincare, in-clinic treatments, or referral for prescription options where appropriate. Skincare & Treatment Planning Your plan may include tailored recommendations using professional skincare ranges such as ZO® Skin Health, Obagi Medical or Medik8, selected based on your skin type, acne pattern and tolerance. The focus is on treating acne while protecting the skin barrier and reducing the risk of scarring or long-term sensitivity. Appointment Details Appointment length: approximately 30 minutes Treatment provided: consultation only (no obligation to proceed with treatment) Results & Expectations Acne improvement is gradual and requires consistency. Most clients begin to see clearer, calmer skin within 6–12 weeks when following a structured plan. Ongoing reviews may be recommended to adjust treatment as your skin responds. Clinical Standards All consultations are carried out by an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, following UK clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice. Where prescription treatments are indicated, this will be discussed safely and appropriately.
